In Sri Lanka, we invite you to pursue your dream of surfing amazing waves in beautiful surroundings at breathtaking beaches. Our local instructors have the knowledge and passion that will inspire you to surf more and grow your love affair with the ocean.
Explore Galle Fort
Visit the historic, colonial town of Galle and its beautiful fort overlooking the ocean. With a fascinating mix of English, Portuguese and Sri Lankan architecture, the vibe here is something different. Explore narrow alleyways, tiny restaurants, beautiful tea houses and the famous lighthouse.
Swing into the Sunset
Just ten minutes from our camp, you'll find the famous palm tree swing at Dalawella beach. Swing into the sunset and enjoy the view!
Watch the Sunset at Coconut Hill
Believe it or not, Coconut Hill looks even better in real life than in photos. Pro-tip; go see it at sunset for a truly unforgettable experience.

What to Pack
Passport, Beachwear, Sunglasses, Towels (bath towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels). Mosquito spray: Mosquito spray can be hard to come by or of inferior quality, so it’s a good idea to bring this from home. Plastic bottles: At Lapoint, we destroy waves, not the planet. Therefore, as a part of our sustainability program, we don’t sell any plastic bottles and try to limit the use of plastic at the camp. In doing so, please bring a reusable water bottle for your trip to Sri Lanka. If you don’t own one, don’t worry, we sell environmentally friendly aluminum water bottles on-site. Sunscreen: Be aware that the UV index in Sri Lanka is very high, so please use sunscreen for living the dream here in paradise! To reduce pollution, we recommend using Oxybenzone-free products to help conserve the ocean, our favourite playground. We sell environmentally friendly zinc at the camp.

Travel Insurance is not required, but as always when travelling, we advise that you have sufficient coverage in the unlikely event of an injury, medical emergency or other unforeseen circumstances. Lapoint Surf Camp
The heart of our surf camp is our beautiful garden with comfortable hang-out areas, swimming pool and a volleyball field. You can relax in the sunshine, grab a fresh smoothie bowl or join our activities. The camp vibe is the perfect balance of a social playground and a chilled-out utopia.
Sri Lankans LOVE breakfast and our breakfast buffet reflect that with local specialties like hoppers, roti, egg dishes and fresh fruit. Our lunch menu consists of local masterpieces, like the famous Sri Lankan curry. Most evenings, we have family dinners at the camp, which is a fun way to get to know your fellow travellers.
