Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Costa Rica! After our transfer to the hotel for the evening and some time to settle in and explore we will host a welcome dinner where we can introduce the group, meet your host, guide, and support staff. 

Journey to Tortuguero, Visit the Tortuguero Village 

Early afternoon, we depart to Tortuguero, well know as the little Amazon of Costa Rica. With a stop in Guapiles to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican breakfast, then we will continue our way to Tortuguero canals and rivers. After lunch we will visit Tortuguero Town a small community of 1300 people who live surrounded by water, depart from Manatus Hotel by boat and arrive 5 minutes later to the little village of Tortuguero. This tour will provide with an opportunity to learn about the ways of life of the inhabitants of Tortuguero. Tour around the main road and take a look at some of the souvenirs made by the local artisans, you might find something very interesting for you. Return to the hotel with your tour guide.

Morning Tour / National Park / Floating Restaurant

Very early at morning we will visit the amazing canals to observe the life of the forest wake up, enjoy a very interesting boat tour to look for the wild species of the Rainforest. After this visit enjoy breakfast at the hotel.Then visit the Tortuguero National Park by boat. Tortuguero National Park protects an area of 19,000 hectares or 46,949 acres. The park includes mangroves, rainforest, beach, and river habitats. Wildlife is abundant in Tortuguero National Park. Sixty species of mammals , over 300 species of birds, 111 species of reptiles within the park including green sea turtles, leatherback sea turtles and 57 amphibian species are the most popular with visitors. 

Tonight, we will enjoy dinner in an spectacular floating restaurant while navigate through the Tortuguero Canals.

Journey to Arenal / Visit Tabacon Hot Springs

This morning depart in a boat transportation to La Pavona dock where our private bus will be waiting to continue the adventure to the beautiful area of La Fortuna, home of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Stop at Guapiles city for lunch. Once in Arenal, visit Tabacon Hot Springs Resort and spend time with your new group of friends relaxing and sharing stories and memories. 

AM: Visit Sky Adventure: Zip Line + Aerial Tram + Hanging Bridges

Sky Trek is a thrilling zipline circuit that’s located in the magical forests of Costa Rica. Sky Trek zipline courses begin at the top of the mountains, you’ll ride and open air gondola to this point while admiring the best views of the surrounding area and even more. From there on, you will start the zipline course down the mountain. Cables stretch from mountain to mountain, reaching incredible lengths and heights, crossing canyons, going into the forests, and even sometimes in between clouds. Discover the beauty of Costa Rican forests on the first hanging bridges of the country, Sky Walk. This is a guided experience on natural trails and amazing hanging bridges through the dense forest. You will go on a hike to have a one on one experience with the flora and fauna at every level of these magical tropical forests. You can admire natural beauties from the ground on our natural trails or discover unique life systems from the forest canopy. Crossing our hanging bridges is a unique experience where you will have complete views of the forest canopy and access to a completely different ecosystem that can only be discovered at the highest points of trees.

PM: Horseback Riding to La Fortuna Waterfall

Your guide will pick horses according to your experience level. The ride takes about 45 minutes and is accompanied by the sounds of rainforest birds and the La Fortuna Waterfall River. Once you arrive at the entrance of the 75 meter (246 ft) tall La Fortuna Waterfall, the horses are left behind so you can enjoy the great views from the lookout. After a short rest and some water, you will take a 20 minute walk down to the La Fortuna River — passing a suspension bridge of 20 meters (66 ft) — until you reach the bottom of the canyon. When you arrive, you can relax and swim in the cool waters of the La Fortuna River for about 30 minutes. After enjoying the refreshing waters, the walk back to the top starts.

Balsa River Rafting / Journey to Manuel Antonio

Your professional, certified guide will get you ready to challenge yourself as you paddle down 10 kilometers of fun, rolling rapids! You’ll combine exciting rapids with the chance to admire lush greenery and exotic birds and animals as you descend down this beautiful class 2-3 river. Your eagle-eyed guides will even point out the monkeys, sloths, and toucans along the way! 

Enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch at our famous Hunters & Gatherers riverside restaurant with a bountiful buffet of natural, locally-sourced, delicious food after your fun day of adventure. 

We’ll then drive you back to your hotel in our comfortable, air-conditioned vans. 

After this amazing adventure you will continue the journey to Manuel Antonio National Park area. Manuel Antonio National Park and the nearby town of Quepos are located on the Central Pacific Coast. The rich biodiversity of this area, coupled with a wealth of activities make this a premier destination of the Central Pacific region
